Opponents To Texas Central Bullet Train Visit The Brazos County Commission

Two of the four Brazos County commissioners who voted two weeks ago to support a resolution for Texas Central’s high speed passenger train did not hear from two Madison County residents who came to Bryan last week to speak in opposition.

Colvin Walker of Madison County, who is a member of the county’s historical group, says their historical properties are not acknowledged in the draft environmental report.

Norann McDonnell, who is a member of the Texans Against High Speed Rail organization, asked commissioners to take another vote.

The proposed route of the bullet train does not include Brazos County. One stop between Houston and Dallas serving Bryan, College Station, and Huntsville would be near Roans Prairie.
