UPDATE: 40-50 Involved In Fight Outside College Station Apartment Complex

News release from College Station Police:

On 06/11/18 at approximately 1756 hours, officers with the College Station Police Department responded to 134 Luther St (Southgate Village Apartments) in reference to several 911 calls reporting a large fight in the parking lot. As the first officers arrived on scene they reported that there were approximately 40-50 people fighting and additional officers were requested. There were also several reports of people being armed with weapons such as firearms and knives. Responding officers discovered several individuals who had wounds consistent with either being cut or stabbed by a knife. Due to the number of people involved, the reports of multiple weapons, and the hostility displayed by many of the people still at the scene, additional officers from nearby agencies were requested to assist the College Station officers on scene. Officers from Texas A&M PD, Brazos County SO, and Bryan PD responded to assist.

Once order was restored, officers were able to investigate what had occurred. Officers eventually learned that the initial dispute was centered on two family members. Partisans from each side then became involved and the dispute escalated into a brawl. During the brawl an unknown number of people produced knives and began using them. Three individuals were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. All of the injured persons are expected to recover. Officers have identified several persons of interest from this incident. The Criminal Investigation Division is continuing to investigate this incident.

There is no danger to the public stemming from this incident. Anyone who has any information concerning this incident is encouraged to call College Station Police at 979-764-3600.
