Research Valley Partnership And Texas A&M Host Officials From The World’s Top 30 Biopharmaceutical Manufacturers

Leaders of 30 international biopharmaceutal companies are in the twin cities for a conference hosted by Texas A&M and the Research Valley Partnership.

RVP president Matt Prochaska says the BioPhorum conference presents the economic development agency to take advantage of the world-class research that’s going on at A and M.

Prochaska says corporations in this industry like to cluster, which is something else the RVP uses in recruiting new manufacturers.

The conference provides attendees social opportunities, including attending Tuesday night’s Aggie baseball game and other sites in the twin cities.

Additional information from the Research Valley Partnership:

Dozens of top executives in the field of biopharmaceutics are spending part of an annual meeting in the Research Valley.

Their goal: further improve their life-saving, life-improving work.

BioPhorum is a by-invitation-only conference of leaders of the world’s top biopharmaceutical manufacturing and supplier companies to exchange ideas and share best practices. The companies produce vaccines, gene therapies, allergenics and more.

Executives from companies like Pfizer, Bayer, AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline will come to our area following meetings earlier in the week in Houston.

Delegates will also spend time with Texas A&M researchers and tour the G-CON Manufacturing plant in College Station, which designs, produces and installs prefabricated, autonomous cleanroom PODs.

The topic of this year’s annual BioPhorum meeting is cell and gene therapy.

Texas A&M and the Research Valley Partnership are hosts for this year’s BioPhorum.
