Arts Council Of The Brazos Valley Begins Renovations At Its New Home

A trash rolloff trailer is in the parking lot of what is becoming the new home of the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley (ACBV).

ACBV donors, volunteers, board members, and staff swung sledge hammers Monday morning to officially start the remodeling.

Architect James Haliburton says the building, which opened as a fire station, will include a two story gallery where fire engines once parked.

Artist studios and meeting rooms will be in offices that were most recently occupied by the Texas 4-H and youth development headquarters.

The new ACBV home is located along the southbound freeway service road south of Barron Road.
