New South Brazos County Road Opens With A Ribbon Cutting

For the first time in recent history, Brazos County officials held a ribbon cutting of a major road project.

County judge Duane Peters did the honors Wednesday at Mesa Verde Drive, which connects Highway 6 between Texas World Speedway and the Indian Lakes subdivision south of College Station.

Developer Paul Clarke donated the land and the county spent just over $1 million dollars to build the new road, which was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
