From the Brazos County precinct 2 constable’s office:

Shortly before 11:30 a.m. today, deputies from the Brazos County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office attempted to stop a black and grey sport-type motorcycle which was northbound on State Highway 6 by-pass near the intersection with F.M. 2818.

The motorcyclist failed to yield and accelerated, reaching or exceeding speeds of 100 mph, weaving in and out of traffic, in an attempt to evade the marked patrol unit which was using emergency lights and siren in the attempt to stop the vehicle.

The pursuit continued until the motorcycle exited at the William J. Bryan Parkway exit, where the motorcycle crossed the width of the frontage road, left the pavement, and fell in the grassy right of way in front of the Toyota car dealership near that exit.

The driver was not seriously injured, and refused treatment or transport to the hospital from Bryan F.D. Emergency Medical Personnel.

The driver was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest using a Motor Vehicle (State Jail Felony), and Reckless Driving (class B Misdemeanor).

Arrested was: Tyler Savant, 20 years of age, from Navasota TX
