College Station Economic Development Update

The city of College Station continues to work towards bringing new tenants to three vacant commercial buildings.

That’s part of the latest episode of the “Is This A Thing” video podcast on the city’s blog.

Economic development director Natalie Ruiz says one national retailer is negotiating to take over the former Gander Mountain building.

Ruiz says there are no negotiations next door at the former Academy store…where Academy still has four years left on that lease.

Ruiz also says there are no negotiations at University and Tarrow at the former Albertson’s store…which is owned by H-E-B and the grocer still has eight years left on its lease.
