15 Agencies Battle Robertson County Grass Fire

The Robertson County sheriff’s office (RCSO) went to social media to thank 15 agencies that participated in extinguishing a 150 acre grass fire Tuesday afternoon east of Calvert.

Sheriff Gerald Yezak says he was not told of any injuries or property damage from what was a controlled burn that got out of control.

The RCSO Facebook post credited volunteer firefighters from Calvert, Franklin, Hearne, Blackjack, Bremond, Seale-Round Prairie, Wheelock, Gause, and Brazos County.

Also thanked were crews from the Robertson County precinct one and two departments, the Bryan and College Station fire departments, and the Texas A&M Forest Service.

The post also included a You Tube video from the Bryan drone team showing an aerial view of the damage.
