Bryan School Board Brings In PR Consultants To Generate More Students

The Bryan school board has hired the National School Public Relations Association to do a communications audit…hoping to better promote the district in order to recruit more students.

Tim Carroll, the chief information officer in Allen ISD north of Dallas, was one of two consultants who spent last week gathering information mostly in private meetings.

Board president Mark McCall says one obstacle is getting a consistent message to realtors.

Board members also told the consultants another obstacle is getting through to those at Texas A&M who influence new employees on where they should live.

Three of the Bryan ISD board members work at A&M. It was also noted that between the seven members of the board, they have 17 children who currently or have attended Bryan ISD schools.
