A Brazos County district court jury last week convicted and sentenced one of four Freestone County men who prosecutors say robbed and threatened to kill a College Station marijuana dealer more than four years ago.

According to the district attorney’s office, the jury imposed a 15 year prison term for 27 year old Ivan McWilliams of Teague.

McWilliams, who was on probation at the time of the January 2014 holdup, was eligible for probation.

One of the co-defendants, 24 year old Levi Carroll-Jones, testified at the trial. Jones is serving a 12 year sentence.

A third co-defendant, 25 year old Devante Owens, is on probation after serving time in prison. Prosecutors say Owens was in the getaway car at the time of the robbery and threats.

The fourth person has never been identified.
