A national survey research company that has had a local call center the last ten years is moving to a larger location.

ReconMR is more than doubling the size of its call center with the move to its new location in Bryan.

A news release states once ReconMR’s new center at Villa Maria and Kent is operational, it will be home to more than 500 part time and 25 full time employees.

Recon says this will be their flagship location. The company also has call centers in three other Texas cities. More than 1,000 employees will conduct more than a half million telephone surveys a year for a variety of clients.

Company officials say they received assistance from the chamber of commerce and Bryan’s economic development office.

News release from ReconMR:

After 10 years of presence in the Bryan/College Station area, ReconMR is proud to announce a major expansion in this market.

Currently operating out of a 100-seat call center on University Drive, ReconMR will relocate to a much larger facility at 2504 Kent Street in Bryan.

The new, state of the art facility will host 225 call center stations, along with management offices. With redundant power, internet, and telephony, this facility will be ReconMR’s flagship center to provide telephone data collection services to high profile clients across the country.

The new Bryan/College Station office will provide over 150% increase in capacity, employing over 500 part-time and 25 full-time employees once fully operational. While recruiting has already begun, there are many positions yet to fill. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply immediately on ReconMR’s website (http://www.reconmr.com/careers), by phone (512-757-8144), or in person at the existing office (1103 University Drive East, Suite 200).

ReconMR’s decision to expand in the area was a result of discussions with Bryan’s Economic Development Council, Mayor Andrew Nelson, and the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce. It was determined that the area has a qualified and attractive labor force for call center operations, along with city staff and elected officials dedicated to supporting and promoting business in the area.

“I am pleased to welcome ReconMR to their new Bryan location,” shared Bryan Mayor Andrew Nelson. “They are well positioned to serve higher education and public policy research institutions with state of the art phone surveys, and I’m excited about the more than 150 future full and part-time hires they will be making this year, increasing their team significantly in Bryan.”

ReconMR has existing call center locations in San Marcos and Houston, with a new office planned to come online this spring in San Antonio. Combined, ReconMR will have four locations throughout Texas, with a staff of over 1,000 employees. These centers will conduct over 500,000 telephone surveys per year for various news outlets, universities, public policy institutes, and political campaigns.

CEO Lyle Durbin says, “The opportunity in Bryan/College Station is huge for us! We are recognized as a leading brand in telephone survey research. Our clients’ needs can only be met by growing our infrastructure. We are grateful to have found an ideal location on Kent Street.”

The real estate transaction was conducted between Mutual Trust Corporate Real Estate of Austin and R&S Leasing of Bryan.
