Scotty’s House Celebrates the Remodel of its Forensic Wing

Scotty’s House Brazos Valley Child Advocacy Center invites you to an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, January 10th to celebrate the remodel and renovation of its Forensic Wing.

Cary Baker, Executive Director, said they provide forensic interviews and medical exams in this part of the building.

“A forensic interview is a structured conversation between an adult and a child designed to enlist details about specific events that occur,” said Baker.

The medical exams are conducted when sexual or physical abuse of a child is suspected.

Baker said the remodel and renovation of the wing was made possible with a grant from Junior League Bryan-College Station.

“We were lucky enough to be chosen, and so the women of Junior League have helped support this event through all their fundraising efforts, they have made this remodel possible,” said Baker.

Wednesday’s event is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Scotty’s House located at 2424 Kent Street in Bryan.
