B/CS Salvation Army Record Red Kettle Campaign

The Bryan/College Station Salvation Army set an all time record for its holiday campaign this year.

Captain Paul Ryerson thanked those who rang bells and/or contributed money, as the red kettle drive generated more than $199,000 dollars.

That topped the goal of $185,000 for the campaign that was held between November 10 and December 24.

Ryerson also thanked those who provided gifts for more than 2,000 children and more than 800 families through the Army’s Angel Tree program.

The local commanding officer also announced Bryan won the Salvation Army’s 11th annual Mayor’s red kettle ring off earlier this month. That event generating a combined total in Bryan and College Station of almost $5,000 dollars.
