A Bryan police officer who spotted a car parked on the wrong side of Tabor Road at about four in the morning with the engine running and no one inside also found what turned out to be property reported stolen from eight vehicles.

That led to the arrest of an Angleton man who is on probation after pleading guilty in April of 2016 to three vehicle burglaries in Bryan that took place in December of 2015.

According to online records, 24 year old Andre Densey also served jail time for five vehicle burglaries in 2014.

According to the BPD Facebook page, a citizen’s report led to the early Tuesday morning arrest.

The citizen reported a vehicle burglary on Shirley Drive, which is east of the freeway and north of Tabor Road.

Four hours later, an officer spotted a vehicle matching the description given by the witness on Tabor Road, about one mile south of Shirley.

After property was returned to eight victims, BPD says there are items that has not been claimed.

BPD is asking those who live in the area to check their vehicles and file a report if anything is, even if little was taken.

As of Wednesday morning, Densey remained in the Brazos County jail on bonds totaling $144,000 dollars.
