Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial Veterans Day Program Is Friday Afternoon

The names of 223 veterans will be added to the Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial during this year’s Veterans Day program at Veterans Park in College Station.

Spokesman Brian Hilton says holding the program Friday at 5:30 p.m. instead of Veterans Day allows for the participation of the Texas A&M band and the Ross Volunteers.

The program includes a keynote address by the assistant director at the A&M career center. Bob Foley served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

There will also be a special recognition for another Vietnam vet, Clarence Sasser, who received the Medal of Honor.
