Update On College Station Economic Development Activity

The homes of two former College Station retailers and a soon to be third former store are in various stages of making a comeback.

That was part of an update from the city’s economic development director, Natalie Ruiz, on WTAW’s The Infomaniacs.

Ruiz says Spec’s liquor is opening a third store in the twin cities later this month. The retail store and a warehouse will occupy what used to be Linens and Things next to Home Depot.

Negotiations are underway to fill the former Academy store. And potential prospects are being pitched to move into the Gander Mountain store, which she says will close August 15th.
