Bryan School Board Receives Realignment Update

This week’s Bryan school board meeting included the first of what administrators say will be several updates leading up to the start of the district’s new fifth and sixth grade intermediate schools next year.

Associate superintendent Barbara Ybarra says teachers will know before the holiday break where they will be assigned.

Interim superintendent Tim Rocka says all teachers…not just those affected by realignment…will not lose eligibility for bonus pay if they change campuses next year.

Dr. Ybarra says parents and students will be notified in late January or early February. That will be followed by a period of transfer requests, which will be accepted through spring break.

More information is available on the Bryan school district’s website.
