Lemonade Day Registration Continues

LemonadeDayTwitter20161,100 young businesspeople in the twin cities are signed up so far to have lemonade stands in the seventh annual Lemonade Day event.

Director Hallie Gammon says registration continues online at lemonadedaybcs.com and in person Saturday during the Earth Day event at Wolf Pen Creek park in College Station.

While Lemonade Day is May 1, THIS Sunday is the annual best tasting lemonade contest. Celebrity judges will rate ten booths. Awards will be presented in the categories of Best Tasting, Most Unique Recipe, Best Presentation, and Kid’s Choice.

Sunday’s contest is from 2:30 until 4:30 outside the Blue Baker on University around the fountain.

Blue Baker is also accepting pre-orders for lemon cookies, which will be sold next week to benefit the local Lemonade Day program.

Additional information about Lemonade Day B/CS:

Since 2010, Lemonade Day B/CS has helped thousands of local kids learn the value of setting goals, developing a business plan, establishing a budget, seeking investors, providing customer service, and giving back to their community.

On the first Sunday in May, participants set up their lemonade stands at the time and location of their choice, sell lemonade, and keep the money they earn.

Everyone can be involved in Lemonade Day by mentoring a participant, providing a stand location, volunteering, sponsoring or by visiting stands on May 1 to support young entrepreneurs!
