College Station’s Raintree Park Renamed for Art and Myra Bright

The first family to live in College Station’s Raintree subdivision will be honored with the neighborhood park in their name.

The city council during Thursday’s meeting approved the change for the late Art Bright and his wife Myra.

Henry Wittner and Chrissie Hester spoke during the council meeting about the couple.

Mr. Bright spent 54 years in the College Station school district as a teacher, coach, and administrator.

His volunteer work included overseeing the construction of 25 Habitat For Humanity homes.
