Blinn Trustees Approve Consultant Contract to Address Bryan Campus Space Needs

Tuesday evening update:

Blinn College trustees Tuesday night approved a consulting contract to study space needs on the Bryan campus.

Original story:

Blinn College officials continue to study how to resolve space issues on the Bryan campus.

Spokesman Richard Bray says Blinn trustees Tuesday night will consider a consulting contract with Bryan-based Arkitex Studio to develop recommendations for the next two to five years.

For the upcoming academic year, portable buildings have been established to relocate offices to create additional classrooms, and new scheduling software is being tested that will free existing space for more classes.

Bray says a committee is being formed of real estate professionals and Blinn administrators to develop long term recommendations.
