Record Cold Morning in College Station

NationalWeatherServiceTuesday was a record cold morning in College Station.

According to hourly readings from the National Weather Service, it was 37 degrees shortly before 7 a.m. at Easterwood Airport.

That breaks the previous low temperature for April 15 of 38, set in 1928.

Wednesday’s forecast predicts a low of 37, which is near the record of 36 set in 1961.

The storm system that brought the chill generated .65 inches of rain on Monday. For the year to date, the airport rain gauge has collected 5.01 inches. That’s compared to the year to date average precipitation of 10.37 inches.
