A Bryan man is hospitalized after police caught him swallowing a vial of suspected PCP.

Officer Kelley McKethan says 22 year old Ronnie James Lott was one of three men arrested outside a townhome on Verde Drive in west Bryan.

McKethan says an officer placed a small bottle containing a liquid and other items in a ballcap and placed the cap on the hood of the patrol car.

Moments later, officers discovered the vial was gone.

After looking at video taken from the patrol vehicle, Lott was seen bent down with his face in the ballcap long enough to swallow the container.

Lott was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center where an x-ray revealed the bottle.

Then Lott went to jail where he was booked, bonded out on charges of public intoxication and possessing marijuana, and returned to St. Joseph’s where he is in the critical care unit.
