CS Council Hears About Bike Lanes Around Schools

The city of College Station has finished studying student bicyclist activity at two of five schools where there are no bike lanes.

The city council concurred with staff recommendations during Thursday night’s meeting.

At Pebble Creek, the council agreed to add bike lane markings along Lakeway and continue to allow streetside parking.

Assistant City Engineer Troy Rother told city councilman John Nichols the principal at Pebble Creek didn’t want to give up streetside parking along Lakeway.

Rother will continue monitoring bicyclists around Southwood Valley.
