Bryan Police announced an arrest Thursday from last Saturday’s stabbing of a Bryan man.

47 year old Inez Busby is accused of first degree murder in the death of 54 year old Raymond Lockett.

Officer Kelley McKethan says Busby had been a roommate of Lockett for about three weeks and that they had known each other for several years.

According to the arrest report, Busby was looking for a place to stay after her house in Somerville burned down, which followed the death of her fiance.

Investigators found three knives with blood on them, according to the arrest report, and that Lockett had at least four stab wounds, including one which penetrated his heart.

Police discovered Lockett’s body after responding to a call of a domestic disturbance.

McKethan says Busby was in the apartment when officers arrived, and some of Busby’s statements were inconsistent with the evidence investigators found.
