Armed Robbery and Bomb Threat at Boonville Road Walgreen’s

Bryan police responded Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 to an armed robbery and bomb threat at the Walgreen’s store at Boonville Road and Austin’s Colony Parkway.

A pharmacy employee told police they were approached by a man who had his face covered, displayed a knife, demanded narcotics, and handed the employee a note stating there was a bomb and it would be detonated if police was notified.

Officer Kelley McKethan says no bombs were found following a search. No one was injured, and McKethan says most inside the store were unaware the robbery occurred.

The suspect drove away with an undisclosed amount of narcotics.

The suspect is described as a light skinned man of average height with a thin build. He was wearing a maroon hoodie and dark athletic pants.

There is no description of the vehicle, which was last seen on Austin’s Colony Parkway headed to the freeway frontage road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BPD’s Criminal Investigation Division at 979-209-5316 or Crime Stoppers at 979-775-TIPS (8477).
