Two Teenagers Arrested for Calling 911 and Making ThreatsFeatured Stories, News Friday, January 24th, 2014
Two Bryan High school students are accused of calling 9-1-1 making false threats.
The 15 and 16 year olds were arrested Thursday after calling dispatchers four times over a ten day period.
Officer Kelley McKethan says Stephen F. Austin Middle School (SFA) and Bryan High School (BHS) were never evacuated.
The first call reported a man with a gun on the SFA campus.
9-1-1 also received bomb threats at SFA and Bryan High.
McKethan says authorities were able to determine who placed the calls.
Whether or not the two teenaged boys are back in school can not be revealed according to a Bryan school district spokesman.

On Friday January 17, 2014 at 1:15 p.m. Emergency Services received a call stating a man with a gun was at Stephen F. Austin Middle School. At the time of the call the dispatcher could tell the caller was a young male and could hear laughing in the background. Although the laughing was an indication the call may have been false the Bryan Police Department and Bryan ISD took it seriously. School Resource Officers and school staff were notified immediately. A search of the area was conducted and no person with a gun was located.
On Tuesday January 21, 2014 at 1:20 p.m. Emergency Services received a call from a young male stating he found a note that a bomb was at Stephen F. Austin Middle School. Evidence showed the caller was the same as Friday. Officers were dispatched to the school and school officials were immediately notified. There was no evidence to substantiate the claim and the caller was not cooperative.
On Wednesday January 22, 2014 at 12:11 p.m. and again at 1:09 p.m. Emergency Services received a call from a young male talking about a bomb with no specifics. Two juvenile males ages 15 and 16 were identified, arrested, and each charged with 2 counts of False Alarm or Report of Emergencies, which is a state jail felony, and 1 count of Abuse of 911, which is a Class B misdemeanor.
