No Power Disruptions for BTU & CSU CustomersFeatured Stories, News Friday, January 24th, 2014
Weather conditions Thursday night and Friday morning were not severe enough to cause power outages in Bryan and College Station.
Statewide, it wasn’t cold enough to issue any conversation advisories.
At BTU, Paul Buckner says there was more than enough electric capacity.
ERCOT, the agency that manages most of the state’s electric distribution, reported consumption was at slightly over 80 percent of capacity.
Officials are already monitoring the next cold snap, which is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
