An 18-year-old Bryan man is in jail, accused of several burglaries from this week.

Bryan Officer Lori Berndt says officers were serving a warrant for Trevarrie Green at a home near the intersection of Texas and William J. Bryan Tuesday when they discovered property from several vehicle burglaries that had taken place Monday evening.

She says items included a purse, handgun, tools and ammunition.

Berndt says the warrant was for assaulting two strangers, as Green had been involved earlier that same day in a wreck in which the driver of  Green’s vehicle cut off another vehicle and caused the wreck, but they then attacked the driver and passenger of the other vehicle.

The victims had minor injuries, but did not need to go to the hospital.

Berndt reminds residents to always lock their cars and remove anything valuable.
