This month marks the 30th anniversary of the Brazos Valley Sexual Assault Resource Center.
Executive Director Diane Jones-Meier says the mission has changed from increasing the number of victims who came forward to catch and convict offenders.
Volunteer training has taken place since before the doors first opened. Jones-Meier says 1,200 have received training.
You are invited to a 30th anniversary luncheon on the 31st, titled “30 Years of Change, Hope, and Healing”.
The program includes remarks from former and current board members and retired director Linda Castoria Roedel.
Reservations are due this Thursday.
