Motorcycle Accident Injures ThreeFeatured Stories, News Tuesday, October 15th, 2013
Three people are injured after a collision between a motorcycle and a convertible took place in a College Station intersection Monday afternoon.
Police Sergeant Roy Shelton says Southwest Parkway and Texas Avenue was shut down for a little more than an hour after a convertible turned directly in front of a motorcycle traveling north on Texas, and the motorcyclist struck the door of the convertible and was then thrown off.
The occupants of the convertible had non-incapacitating injuries, while the motorcyclist had incapacitating injuries.
All were transported to the College Station Medical Center, and the driver of the convertible was cited for failing to yield right of way.
Shelton says the intersection will be closed several hours Tuesday morning starting at 8:30 as investigators re-construct the scene, so avoid the area and anticipate delays.RoyShelton101513.mp3
