College Station Anniversary Exhibit on Hold Thanks to Government ShutdownFeatured Stories, News Thursday, October 10th, 2013
A key component of College Station’s 75th anniversary is in limbo.
Anniversary chairwoman Linda Harvell told the city council this week setting up a major exhibit at the Bush Library is on hold because the library is closed due to the government shutdown.
The exhibit is supposed to open October 21, but Harvell says “that’s OK” if there is a delay.
She told the council their hearts are with those who are furloughed, adding “this has got to be much tougher for them than it is for us.”
