Bomb Threat Affects American Eagle Flight & Latest in AA Merger Battle

MONROE, La. (AP) _ An American Eagle plane that left Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Tuesday morning landed safely in Louisiana after a note about a bomb threat was found. FBI spokeswoman Mary Beth Romig says 15 passengers and three crew members were aboard a commuter aircraft that landed at Monroe Regional Airport. Romig said no device was found aboard Flight 3648. She says agents were interviewing the passengers and crew but no suspects were immediately identified.

DALLAS (AP) _ Fort Worth-based American Airlines and US Airways want to know who was interviewed before the government sued to block a merger. The airlines say the U.S. Department of Justice is refusing to turn over the names, claiming that doing so would reveal the thinking of antitrust lawyers who filed the lawsuit against the merger. The Justice Department didn’t immediately comment.
