Brazos County Commission to Consider Lifting Burn BanFeatured Stories, News Monday, September 23rd, 2013
Was three inches of rain at Easterwood Airport last Friday enough to remove the burn ban in rural areas of Brazos County?
County Judge Duane Peters says it was raining when Tuesday’s agenda was being finalized, so lifting the ban will be considered.
Peters says they’ll ask the emergency management director for his recommendation whether to remove the burn ban.
For now, the burn ban outside city limits remains in affect.
And sheriff’s deputies wrote three tickets to violators last weekend after the rain.
