USA Clinches Seventh Consecutive World Cup

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ Second-half goals by Eddie Johnson and Landon Donovan led
the U.S. to a 2-0 victory over Mexico and its seventh consecutive World Cup
berth. Johnson broke a scoreless tie with a header in the 49th minute off a
corner kick by Donovan. The Americans actually clinched their 10th appearance in
the World Cup when Honduras tied Panama 2-2.
