Update:

Calling a cab didn’t help one of two men arrested by College Station police accused of three vehicle burglaries.

About 4:30 Sunday morning, two residents in the Edelweiss Gartens neighborhood called 9-1-1 after spotting a car hood popped up and two men coming out of a drainage ditch and starting to walk down the street.

According to the arrest report, an officer saw a cab pull into a driveway two blocks away. Inside the cab was 20 year old David Caito of The Woodlands.

He and 22 year old Jordan Riddle of Conroe, who was found near the drainage ditch, were arrested for burglary. Caito was also charged with drug possession.

The stolen property was returned to the owners.
