Selecting Next CS City Manager Includes Resident Input

It’s been nearly three months since the unexpected death of College Station City Manager Frank Simpson.

It’s also less than a month until the city council starts reviewing applications for who will succeed him.

Residents are invited to let the council know what they want in the next manager.

Councilman John Nichols says a survey website has been established to collect opinions.

The feedback will be used to help guide the council through the search and hiring process, which is just getting underway.

Citizen comments are encouraged by mid-August, when the city council is expected to begin initial applicant screening, but will be welcomed until the search is completed.

Final evaluation and selection is expected by the fall.
