United Way of the Brazos Valley (UWBV) has announced offering over $350,000 to 22 agencies for the next two years.
President Andy Martin says more than 30 community volunteers spent over 600 hours reviewing the applications from 27 organizations for the grant cycle beginning July 1.
Martin says five volunteer panels, each led by a board member, reviewed applications and conducted site visits to agencies. Then the panel chairs met and established recommendations to present to the United Way board.
