Volunteers & Financial Contributions Still Needed in WestFeatured Stories, News Friday, June 14th, 2013
Two months since the West fertilizer plant explosion, victims who thought they were OK are needing assistance.
That’s where the West Long Term Recovery Center comes in.
Administrative Assistant Sarah Gardner says individuals and groups are welcomed to volunteer in town for any period of time. You’re asked to call in advance to make arrangements. The phone number is 254-826-7550. The center’s hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Gardner says another way to assist is by sending the center gift cards. She says debit cash cards for living expenses and cards at retail stores are distributed on a daily basis. Mail the cards to the center at 218 N. Main Street, West TX 76691.
Cash donations can be made through an account at the Waco Foundation. Click HERE for more information.
