B/CS School Administrator Hirings & Transfers

The Bryan school board Monday hired four administrators. One involves an internal promotion.

The new principal at Bryan High School is Lane Buban, who was most recently principal at Sam Rayburn Middle School.

The new principal at Bowen Elementary is Hooria Lakhani, who will be moving from the Ft. Bend district southwest of Houston.

Bryan ISD’s new executive director of human resources and administration is Crystal Goodman, who was most recently in the Spring district but also worked in Navasota and Ft. Worth.

And BISD’s new communications director is Brandon Webb, who has been at the Blinn College campus in Bryan.

Superintendent Tommy Wallis says there are two remaining principal positions to be filled, at Sam Rayburn and Davila Middle Schools. Wallis says all central office openings have been filled.

Also on Monday, College Station school district Superintendent Eddie Coulson announced the hiring of one new principal and the transfers of three assistants.

Kellie Deegear was named the principal of Cypress Grove Intermediate School. Deegear was the principal at Kemp Elementary in Bryan ISD for the past 11 years.

Dr. Coulson also announced transfers of three assistant principals. Omar Espitia goes to A&M Consolidated High School from Cypess Grove. Ronnie Helm goes to the CSISD Center for Alternative Learning from Consoliated. And Courtney Smith goes to Cypress Grove from Consolidated.

Coulson says all CSISD principal positions are filled for the 2013-14 school year. The district continues to fill other vacant administrative and teaching positions.
