Downtown Bryan Tattoo Business Request Still Alive

The owner of a College Station tattoo business is another step closer to possibly making a move to downtown Bryan.

The Bryan Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) has unanimously adopted recommendations that could allow tattoo businesses downtown.

The recommendations of a four member P&Z subcommittee were forwarded to the city council. The earliest the council can consider the proposal in a regular meeting is June 25.

Chairman Michael Beckendorf pointed out their vote was not the last step in the request by Arsenal Tattoo to operate at 26th and Sims.

The city council has to approve changing the regulations. And if that’s done, the businessowner has to apply for a conditional use permit and return to P&Z and the city council.
