Nine Involved in Friday Night CS Crash, No Serious InjuriesFeatured Stories, News Saturday, May 25th, 2013
Nine people in two vehicles escaped serious injuries from a Friday night crash in College Station.
Police report traffic at Texas and Southwest Parkway was diverted between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.
Officers were told a SUV was traveling southbound on Texas and attempted to turn eastbound onto Southwest Parkway in front of a car that was northbound on Texas.
Investigators determined both northbound and southbound traffic on Texas had a green light. But the SUV did not have a protected green left-arrow to proceed eastbound onto Southwest Parkway. This resulted in both vehicles colliding in the intersection.
The SUV was occupied by the driver and four passengers. All sustained non-incapacitating injuries. The driver and three of the passengers were transported to the College Station Medical Center by CSFD for treatment.
