Update: Brazos Valley Media Gives Back Fund Reactivated for West

UPDATE: Donate online using the button to the right.

Bryan Broadcasting, KBTX, and The Eagle are partnering again through the Brazos Valley Media Gives Back Fund in order to help West recover from the explosion that damaged or destroyed 50-75 homes and injured more than 160 people.

All donations will go to the Red Cross and volunteer organizations in West.

To donate to aid in the recovery of West, call or visit any Bryan-College Station Bank & Trust.

Make sure to specifically ask that your donation go to “Brazos Valley Media Gives Back Fund.”

Additional information, courtesy of KBTX VP/General Manager Mike Wright:

After seeing all the e-mails and posts from people wanting to “do something,” the BV Media Giving Back account is accepting donation that will go toward support of recovery efforts in West.

While this event is not in the immediate Brazos Valley Area, firefighters and EMS were involved in this tragedy.

Very soon on after our own tragedy, people are looking for a way to  help.

This is a central account through which they can help.

Blood drives and other options may come up as well.

One local agency has requested that people stop sending “stuff” because of storage issues and a lack of need in West at this moment.

The Eagle, Bryan Broadcasting and KBTX are in agreement to direct donations to the BV Media account at The Bank and Trust.

Our respective websites and social media platforms should have this information posted, if not now, in the next few minutes.

Please help spread the word.
