CS Council Asked Again to Oppose Proposed LandfillFeatured Stories, News Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013
Wednesday morning at 10, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) holds what amounts to a court hearing regarding a proposed private landfill west of Easterwood Airport.
Opponents appeared at last Thursday’s College Station City Council meeting, again asking the city to go on the record being against he facility off Highway 60 west of Highway 47.
Last year, state officials delayed final approval following last minute opposition to the collection of demolition materials and construction debris. Many live in the Brushy community, including Dorothy Butler.

Anyone can attend but speakers are limited to those who can demonstrate how they would be adversely affected in a way not common to the general public.
The contested case hearing will be held in the county commissioner’s courtroom, located in the Brazos County Administration Building.
