The Bryan Fire Department’s Facebook page posted Wednesday that one of the two firefighters burned in the Knights of Columbus Hall fire has been dismissed from a burn unit.
Ricky Mantey is staying in Galveston with his family, as he will continue almost daily trips to the hospital for physical therapy.
The second burned fireman, Mitch Moran, is reported as making great progress and improving every day.
Before Mantey left the hospital, he and Moran received a visit from Bryan City Manager Kean Register, who gave an update at this week’s city council meeting.

We have wonderful news we are so happy to share with all of you! Ricky Mantey has left the Blocker Burn Unit in Galveston and is staying at a condo with his family. He will still need to go to the hospital almost daily for physical therapy but at least he’s making tremendous progress! Hallejuah!
Mitch Moran is making great progress as well and continues to improve every day.
Please continue to pray for their healing!
