Brazos County Commissioners Enact New Junkyard Regulations

Bryan and College Station have regulations controlling junkyards.

This week, an ordinance was approved by the Brazos County Commission.

County Judge Duane Peters says they wanted to be proactive to protect the environment as well as aesthetics outside city limits.

Peters says this applies to businesses operating outside city limits.

The new regulation also requires existing junkyards outside city limits to meet screening requirements by October 1.
