Bryan Firefighters Remembered at Memorial Service

Thousands watched Wednessday morning’s memorial service for Bryan Fire Lieutenants Greg Pickard and Eric Wallace.

Fire Chief Randy McGregor said the time is now for the fire department family to draw closer and comfort each other as they begin healing.

Bryan firefighter Jason Nored is the president of the local firefighters association.

Nored was one of the speakers who called on the audience to remember Ricky Mantey, Jr. and Mitch Moran as they continue to recover from their injuries in a Galveston burn center.

Hundreds of public service agencies participated in the service and the walking processional.

Firefighters from Houston, Austin, New Braunfels, and San Marcos are covering Bryan fire shifts during the memorial and family funeral services.
