Bryan Schools Not Offering Resignation Incentive To Cut Positions
Featured Stories, News Tuesday, February 12th, 2013The Bryan school district has cut employees each of the last two years as a way to reduce the overall budget.
While there are no reductions planned for next year, the school board has approved an early resignation bonus for teachers.
The reason, according to Deputy Superintendent Tim Rocka, is to know sooner than later about filling next year’s teacher vacancies.
The deadline for the $500 dollar incentive is March 22nd or the first 100 teachers, whichever comes first.
As of Monday afternoon, 12 resignation notices had been received.
