There’s been an arrest in the murder of a College Station man who went missing more than six years ago.

The last time anyone saw Demetrius Browder, also known as D.D., alive was in October of 2006.

His remains, including a block tied around his body, were found the following January in a drainage ditch trash pile.

44 year old Eric Hicks of Houston is held in the Brazos County Jail in lieu of a $2 million dollar bond.

Hicks is accused of shooting Browder in the head.

The victim’s brother told investigators the victim took property belonging to Hicks because the suspect couldn’t pay for crack cocaine sold by Browder.
