A resident of a College Station apartment complex is accused of assaulting a security officer with a power drill.
A security officer at the Lofts Apartments told police Friday night the resident had walked into the lobby highly intoxicated, so he took his car keys and drivers license and walked him back to his residence.
The security officer says when he tried to leave he was struck.
While he called 911, the officer says Lentz got a cordless drill, and during a struggle Lentz was able to turn it on and press the drill against his neck.
The officer said Lentz eventually dropped the drill and he was restrained while waiting for police to arrive.
Lentz, who was arrested for assault of a security officer and harrassment of a public servant, is out of jail after posting bond.
