Brazos County Sheriff Looking for New Chief Deputy
Featured Stories, News Thursday, January 10th, 2013The start of Brazos County Sheriff Chris Kirk’s fifth and final term includes choosing a new Chief Deputy.
Kirk says as his fourth term ended he decided to look at the philosophies of managing the office. And that led him to not reappoint Mike Wilson as Chief Deputy.
Kirk says Wilson, who was appointed in November 2009, left in good standing, and during the interim the department’s lieutenants will report directly to the sheriff.
Kirk says his search for the right individual will take as long as necessary.
